Be Alert. Pay attention to the way you talk about alcohol and other drugs and how you use alcohol around youth. Listen and look to see how many times a day youth are exposed to alcohol and drug messages in the media. Find out where the youth in your life spend their free time, and get to know their friends.
Speak Up. Talk to people you know about youth substance abuse issues. Be the voice in your neighborhood, church, community group, workplace, or school.
Learn More. The information is one of the greatest tools we have in changing perceptions about substance abuse. Knowledge about the topic will help us better address these issues in our community.
